Forever My Always xxxii was designed for the Mystery Yarn of the Month club, April 2024.
I have been knitting and dyeing yarn for many years. My husband supports my business and helps me with festivals, but overall he finds yarn “annoying”, ACTUAL QUOTE. I know! The horror 😱!!! So a few months ago when he asked me to knit him a sweater, my jaw dropped. I was honored, overjoyed, excited … at a loss for words. He asked for a blue gray cardigan. I had an idea in my head for the perfect colorway for him. From that idea, this colorway was born.
The name also has a very special meaning. In May 2024, my husband and I celebrated our 32nd wedding anniversary. I was blessed to meet him when I was 18 years old and a freshman in college. We married 2 days before my 20th birthday, squeezing in a wedding between the end of the fall semester and the start of summer classes. After 32 years he is still the perfect man for me. Our lives have been full of ups and downs, but I still choose him. I will choose him everyday for the rest of life. He will forever be my always. Until the day I die. 🥰
The last photo is the in-progress, unblocked sweater in worsted weight.
Handwashing and laying flat to dry are recommended. However, this yarn can be machine washed in cool water on a gentle/wool cycle.
Dyed in a smoke-free and pet-free home.
